I've been running around like a crazy woman the past month and a half.
July:
Messih conference.
Visited Liorah, Jordan and Kevin in PA.
Then I was in NYC for about a week catching up with friends, then I went up to RI for a few days and caught up with Andre and Carlene, played a few of my songs at their congregation's Shabbat service. AMAZING!!
Then Adrielle's car broke down and we ended up in RI a day or two longer than we thought we would. We met up with my parents while we were there, and went fishing since we had to wait for Adrielle's car to get fixed.
Then my friend Carlene decided to drive me back down to NYC so that my sister could get back to KC on time to go Appartment hunting before her classes started up again.
So I brought Carlene to the Shabbat dinner gathering I've been going to as my congregation while I'm in NYC. During that weekend she sat me down and made me talk about my Demo and brain stormed with me about making my ideas a reality. =)
She left about two days later than she planned, because we were having such amazing fellowship. ^_^
AUGUST:
So then I helped a friend of mine move and paint his appartment, stayed up WAAAY too late the day before I left for Utica to record demo tracks, and had a very long bus ride.
Utica: I got a lot recorded, then I left Utica and came back to NYC and started planning my Best friends Birthday party with Giselle for the 7th.
We then ran around like crazy getting everything together.
The day after her party, Mandie had her first official gig with her new musical Ministry, so I went to support that, and then I went home and slept... lol
A day or so later: I helped my friend Danny (who's an indi film maker) test a new mic.
Yesterday was my Birthday:
I slept in, and then my best friend kidnapped me after she got out of work, and she treated me to a mani/pedi. Because she's awesome.
Then we went and got Thai food at our favorite place, and just had a wonderful time. Because we're awesome.
I had lots of phone calls, and was up late enjoying conversations with the people on the other ends of those phone calls.
SO I slept in today as well, and I've been planning all day since the moment I woke up, to a happy birthday phone call from my BFF Kerry.
My little sister Liorah is coming to visit me this weekend before I leave to go back on tour with my family.
My birthday party is this sunday, and then next week I focus on recording, and rehearsing.
Then I go back to RI for some photo shoots, I'll meet my parents there to get some pictures for the ZL album. Then we leave for Pittsburg for our first Concert of the tour... After those concerts we head to Nashville to finish the new ZL album, and life continues in it's beautiful pattern of divinely ordered chaos. ^_^
It's been a good day.. I will now go take a shower.
